the flea is tomorrow. will try to make it if possible. hubby leaves to Japan and my mom arrives for some support. I will try to post soon. Not sure when since I will be busy this week. Don't miss me tooo much....

Happy weekend to you my peeps.....My mom will be in town starting Sunday so I will be busy. I want to take her to a nice place to have a great breakfast on Monday morning. My boys last day of school is Monday so I will be a little less stressed starting Tuesday. Thank the lord!

Just Me

I am who I am!

While I was sitting here reviewing some of my past pictures, I ran across this picture I had taken back at the beginning of May. This woman is beautiful. I look at her face and wonder what her life was like. Was her life as hectic as mine? Did she love immensly? Did he love her? Did she love him? Did they live happily forever? Does she know that I have her picture and that I am sitting here wondering about her life? Does this picture hold her essence? I hope she had a wonderful life. I hope she lived it to the fullest with no regrets. I hope she loved immensly. I hope he returned for her because he could not live without her.

one of the things that I will hopefully get to do before I pass will be to make sure all my pictures are either burned or barried with me. even though I love collecting these old pictures, it makes me very sad to hold on to someones life in a picture that does not even know I exsist.

here are a few more pics. the little girl 1/2 doll was only $10.00. below are the prize ribbons I told you about. the vendor only had these two. they were $3.00 a piece. when I start creating again I will definitely try to alter them even though I believe they are nice like this. and then you have a pic from some stuff at the gypsy caravan. I have a few more pics to share this evening if possible.

BETH, I will need to post some pics that my husband took in the Neatherlands of beautiful doors and entry ways. I believe you would like them. I will do that soon.

this is one of my treasure finds that I purchased this past weekend at the infamous Gypsy Caravan fair. it was fun, but I think last year was better. I took my wonderful partner with me. My older son loves going with me on my crazy adventures. I took a few pics of other things that were available for purchase and will post soon. I did find this wonderful little half doll. I am trying to take a good pic of her so that I can show you.

Also I found these wonderful old award ribbons. on the MCMASTER AND STORM blog, I have seen a few that I believe are similar to the ones I bought. I think they were just at the Sandwich, IL flea. That is one of the first things I want to do when I finally move to IL.

cup and saucer

in these pictures you would think this is a larger size tea cup and saucer, but it's not. the tea cup is actually as big as my thumb. it's really cute and when I saw it I fell in love with the beautiful colors. I am not a collector of tea cups and saucers, but this one was so pretty that I could not pass it up.

just an f y i that the gypsy caravan will be in town this Monday. I went last year and found tons of great things. I belive it is not by Union Station like last year. I would google it if you are thinking about going. hope to see ya there....

boys having fun

thought I would share with you these pics I took of two boys in my life. My youngest and the baby. Missing is my oldest and my middle child Tobie. just having fun in the sun in our back yard enjoying a beautiful day here in MO.

my flea finds. a while ago I met this gentleman at the flea that either inherited a building or bought a building filled to the rim with old paper. when he does sell at the flea I always make it a priority to stop and look and eventually buy. so these are my finds from yesterday's flea. there is one more, but I will wait to post another day. I didn't do that much shopping. maybe not in the mood. sometimes that happens.

Baby's Easy Book

last Friday while on lunch break, I ran into an estate sale. I did not buy much, but I found this wonderful old book for a $1.00. It caught my attention because of it's beautiful illustrations.

Am I jealous? HECK YEAH!

So my hubby has been in the Neatherlands for a week now and he has been sending me pics to see what it looks like. I never thought it was this beautiful. Golly I am sooooo jealous. I already told him if he goes again I am on that plane with him. Check out that wonderful little store he found around his hotel area. He actually made a return visit to take pics for me. Don't you love it. Look at all the great things this lady has. My husband said I would be in heaven and GUESS WHAT? I would!........... Thanks Jaime.

I am happy for him, but I wish I was along on this trip. I would be taking tons of pics to share.......

GOSH DARNY... I can kick myself for not being there. Not that I could go anyways. He is there for part of his training.

Maybe next time, but for now a girl can dream right?

At least it's Sunday tomorrow and guess what that brings.... the flea.

i'm dreaming of going junkin..... are you? Since I really did not do much treasure hunting this past weekend I am getting a bit antsy.

I love the perfect old find or do they find me. One day I would love to have my own spot at the flea or travel down the highway looking for some good ole fashion stuff. Keep dreaming RIGHT!

Oh maybe, one day I will....... maybe just maybe my dream will come true in Chicago.

beautiful weeds

I know this is not your typical picture of a rose or any other type of beautiful flower, but for some reason as I was walking by the edge of the river I spotted this one area of weeds that was stretching as to say...... look at me......look at me...

and I did and this is what came out.

Sundays Finds

the weather has not been cooperating again, at least this morning it wasn't. I did get a chance to get away to the antique mall with my boys for a little while. usually my hubby watches the boys, but he is on his way to Holland. so it's me and my boys for two weeks. they were actually very well behaved except my little one started getting antsy so we left. before I left I was able to purchase this lovely old hat and this framed friends picture. I can't wait till all this move is done so that I can start decorating my place again.
