I am full of stories

or do I just look into things toooo much. Well, I will share anyways. Last weekend (SUNDAY) my older son and I decided to get up early and go look for treasure at the WENTZVILLE flea market. Treasure for my son are baseball cards or any kind of rocks. For me it's any old pictures I can find especially if they are pictures taken in the 1920s.

So after an hour of going from table to table I turned to my left and saw a tall man talking to a fellow seller. I decided that I was not going to go to his table. No reason, I guess I just figured that he might not have what I was looking for. The lady next to him had so much stuff that surely she would have something I could buy. Well, she didn't so then for some reason something pulled me to the table of the man I had just past by.

Well, he did have what I was looking for. A few great pictures and two of them were what I was looking for. One has a girl around 6 or 7 of age with that bob haircut I love that was the usual for the 20s and the other was of this young lady standing in a yard with a very nice dress with a great hat on. So of course I bought them and I should of bought all the others. I can kick my --- now for not having done so.

So when I think of it now was the aura of the pictures pulling me that way. Did the pictures know that I would take care of them and love them and make good use of them. Who knows. All I know is that I love them and I did find treasure that day.......................... plus, a bag of some great peaches :)

Yeah!!!!!!! It's Friday night

not because I am going out dancing or bar hoping, but because it's paranormal night on the TRAVEL channel.

Anybody who really knows me knows that I am totally into anything paranormal. When I get together with my family (mom, dad, uncles, brothers and close friends) one topic that is always brought up is the paranormal......

Who heard what or saw what...............

I am a true believer in GHOSTS and things that go BUMP in the night..................

Of course, my husband thinks I am crazy since we are totally opposite. He always has an explanation for everything. I always tell him that if I pass away first I will not leave before sending him a sign from the other side. It will be something that he will only know so that he knows that it's true....

I have a few good stories that would make your skin crawl........ So if your ever in the mood make sure you let me know and I will talk for a few hours of things I have heard, seen and felt.

Have a HAUNTED night and I am off to finish watching my shows.................. BOO

Did you know..........

that I make the best P B & J sandwhiches............

This afternoon I took my 3 year old and Shushi for a quite stroll around the block. It was nice to spend some quiet time outside just walking and breathing some fresh air. When we arrived home my son decided he wanted something to eat. I asked him what he wanted and he requested a peanut butter and jelly sand.

I made his little sandwhich and he sat happily at the table to eat it. A few minutes past and he said MOM and I said YES and he replied........MOM you make the greatest P B and J sandwhiches in the whole world.

How funny is that........... So now you know........... If you are ever on my side of town drop by and I will make you one of my famous P B & J sand.

Here is the recipe:

-peanut butter (the smooth kind)
-grape jelly
-white bread

VOILA!!!!!!!! ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I found TREASURE

Okay, okay it really isn't treasure, but I guess to my family and I it is and has been. A few years ago, when I still was single and lived on the south side of Chicago I used to love to frequent my local thrift store. I enjoyed looking through all the racks trying to find the perfect old jeans, big old suit jackets, old purses and even once in a great while I would find that perfect ring or necklace. Usually, right before I left I used to look for old plates, glasses and anything else that seemed kind of interesting.

And my point is???? Well, one day long ago on one of my adventures I found THE PLATE. No, it did not have anything fancy on it and it wasn't lined with gold or anything like that. It was just a simple oval plate. In the middle of the plate it has a picture of a girl wearing clogs. Seriously, it's a very simple plate. The strange thing about this plate is that when I brought it home everyone in my household, at that time, fell in love with it. Now, I came from a family of boys and it still is a family of all boys. So it's kind of weird to think that even my brothers loved this plate.

A couple of months ago, when my mom finally came to visit me the one thing that I requested was for her to bring me THE PLATE. My mom always mentions that anytime one of my brothers wanted to eat they would always ask for that plate. Even my dad loves that plate. WHAT IS UP WITH THIS PLATE.

Well, I have had it now for a couple of months. To tell you the truth when I go to the cupboard to reach in for a plate out of all the plates I can choose guess which one catches my eye.............. I don't know if I love it more now because of the story behind it. I must have liked it when I first saw it because I bought it. Many years have past and my taste has changed, but I still love this plate. There is just something special about it.

I wonder if the person who made the plate loved it as much as my family does. If they only knew......

Just thought I would share........

Today, as I was sitting with my kiddies having lunch, my oldest asked me what my favorite thing was. I looked at him and told him that he was. He is my favorite THING 1 and his brother is my favorite THING 2.

Of course, they thought it was funny and laughed at my somewhat joke. As you know THING 1 and THING 2 are the THINGS from the Cat and the Hat.

Lots going on.........

Wow!!!!!!!!!! What a busy weekend I had. My parents finally came back from their little trip to Mexico. Well, really it was not a vacation because my mom worked in her salon and my dad decided to buy pigs to raise and sell. They also go to Mexico to take care of my 95 year old grandma. I had not seen them since FEB. I was very happy to see them, talk to them and just hang out.

We have a new addition to our family. Yes, another boy, but not a real little boy, but a cute little CHIHUAHUA puppy. He is so adorable. I will try to post his cute little face on my blog as soon as I take a picture. He was born in May. My boys decided to name him SUSHI.

I also decided to cut my hair, while my mom was in town, so now I have a short bob. I actually like it very much. I should have cut it shorter, but I am going to try to keep up with a trim so it can stay as a bob for a while.

I also worked this weekend at a scrapbook convention. I really enjoyed myself, but by the end of the second day I was worn out. It was fun though just talking to people and hanging out.

So as you can see I had a fun filled weekend and now I am ready for my usual routines.
