Happy Father's Day

This weekend was filled with tons of outdoor fun. It's hot as heck, but we had a good time. Yesterday when we got home from some errands we had a couple of ducks waiting for us in front of our house. Of course we had to feed them. Well this morning I walk out and guess who I see the cute little duck pair waiting for us to feed them. A few minutes ago, I looked out the window and guess who was there again? What's funny is how do they know which house is ours once they leave? Very smart duckies we have here in Missouri. The rest of the day we spent at Castlewood park..... we took a long walk through the forst preserve. Fun was had by all. Hope your loved one is having a good day as well.

Klondike park

we had no plans today and the boys love to run around and try to catch frogs, turtles or lizards. What better place then Klondkie Park.... Klondike park is off of highway 94. it's a beautiful car ride to the park and look at the amazing plants that grow in this prehistoric looking park.

dedicated to YOU!

Ladies I woke up this morning feeling sorry for myself, but as the day went by my attitude brightened up. I had a really bad day yesterday and this morning I felt really silly.

I am an emotional person.

I wear my heart on my sleeve.

If I could change one thing it would be to be a bit stronger. BUT ENOUGH about me. Thank you for your kind words and support. I hope you don't think I am a whiner. I really try to be in a good mood everyday and I try really hard to never show if I am upset or angry. I apologize for being weak yesterday. One thing about me that I also dislike is sometimes instead of thinking about things thoroughly my emotions take over and then when I have thought about it I feel dumb.

so let's move on. THANKS again for your kind comments. I appreciate it and I am looking forward to a good weekend. My brain is kind of fried from all the training that I did yesterday and today so I am looking forward to a brainless weekend.

Blessings to you,

Just ME! :)

more beautiful scenery here in MO.... I am beginning to miss it already. I hope when I finally settle in, I will be able to show you some wonderful surroundings in Chicago. I already have (in my mind) planned places that I would love to visit. Navy Pier being one of them. When I lived in Chicago 12 years ago, before I got married, I loved to visit the pier. I love people watching and on summer days in the evenings they have music playing. For the 4th they usually have wonderful firework displays. The lake front is also a wonderful place to just hang out at. The fountain in downtown is another awesome sight. I remember one time waiting for an old boyfriend there. We would always meet up there as he lived in the northside and I was from the southside. memories, memories, memories. As I was going to work today all these memories were coming back. GOSH I know you are tired of hearing about my stories, but I am finally going back home. I am sure when I start visiting all my old stomping grounds all these memories will come back. Good and bad. The history that I had back then will all come a pouring. We all have past histories. I have a good one, but it's something I would like to forget and I know for sure that once down there my past is going to hit me right in the face. Stuff I will have to deal with. You know it's a small world. My father says it's a circle by that he means that it will come again. Sooner or later it always catches up.
I know for sure that it will! There is no more hiding from it. Even my mother will not be able to keep me safe from it like she always does. I will run into him and I will get tested. I am sorry I am an emotional mess today. I wish I could somehow get a thicker skin. Does anyone know where I can find one? TODAY has not been a good day. Some days I wonder if I could just run away somehow, I can hide myself and never be found. Of course I can't do that I have two children that need me.

I apologize again, but my nerves are acting up. I had to take my meds so that I don't get a panic attack soon. I can feel when they are coming on.

sorry!

a little less stress

but not completely stressless. the girl that will be taking my position at work is finally starting and I turned in my resignation today. my official last day is July 3rd making my last days here in MO the 4th of July weekend. I should be jumping for joy, but I am a bit sad. my shoulders now are carrying at least 75% of stress not 100% like I was this morning. now to get through the next three weeks. I have made it this far, I believe I can hang in there a little bit more. my house has not sold yet, but we are still leaving. i will be coming back to make sure things are going okay with my unsold home. I have been living in limbo for the last couple months not really knowing what the future holds for me or when my new life would start. At least now I have somewhat of an idea. I am not good with changes, but I have been looking forward to this date for quite some time. I knew I would probably be leaving MO back in January. this has been a long journey and it's not really the ending yet. there are still many things to get done when I start trying to settle down in Chicago. I will try to post regularly until July 3rd. from then on I will not have internet access so who knows when I will be able to blog again.

St. Charles, MO

Old St. Charles is a great place to practice with your camera. Old hardware, great number signs, old shutters and left over leaves from last fall just waiting to be captured in a picture.

flea market finds

let's see I got there this morning around 7:30 and there were tons of people there already. I found a few things that are pictured below. One of the purchases was this wonderful calendar from the 1950's with bird pics and also a few flower scraps. I also purchased a flower frog because I love collecting them and these wonderful doll legs. My friend Michel collects them and I thought why not. I also found a few cross stiched pillow cases that I am about to wash and will post soon. I don't know what I am going to do when I leave and I just can't run and shop at my flea.
