Job Update

NO job yet, but I just posted for another job and I also heard through the grape vine that my previous employer is hiring in the department I used to work at so I will be calling them as soon as the New Year holiday is over. Pros- if hired back, I get my senority, vacation and I probably would make what I was making before I left......... Cons it's not close to home. Okay, it's not that far either, but with all the new business here in O'Fallon why travel right??????

Okay gotta run................. Breakfast is coming and I need to run up and fix the kitchen table..........

I did a scary thing today

Okay, I finished my resume and I posted for a job at CITI. It's a big office building over here in O'Fallon dealing with banking. I also posted it on Monster.com. I am ready, but at the same time I am not. I can't believe that I am finally going back to the work force. I knew one day I would be returning, but I did not think it would be this soon.................

Hopefully, my resume looked at least decent. Have not had to type one up in many, many years......... Wish me luck pls. Pls pray that I get the right job for my family and I..........

Hello all,

All the presents were opened and the food was all ate..... The kids were all happy and we stayed up way late...........

From everyones blogs it seems that everyone had a great Christmas......... BECKY my friend thank you so much for the atc ornament and the really nice and little knitted glove ornament......... LOVE it and you wrapped it up in all that pretty colored tissue paper..... Thanks........ Every year when I hang it up I will think of you.........

I got to go shopping this morning for all those good sales. Stocked up on boxes, bows, wrapping paper, Christmas socks, little hand towels for the bathroom, cards, and so on......... I love going after Christmas to get all those goodies for next year.............

Well, we are off to a soccer game in a few hours............... I am happy that everyone had a nice time and that you all survived......................

I can't wait to start working on my next projects Valentine atcs and I think the next atc theme for RED LEAD is a pocket doll atc....................... Plus, I am almost done with my RESUME........ YIKES........ I promised myself that I would start looking for a job starting Jan. but I started earlier wish me luck in the job hunt pls my friends........................

A ME story of my Christmas past

I wanted to share a real short story of a Christmas memory I have. It's really not because I remember it, but it's a memory I know because of an old picture my mom has. When I was little my parents lived in a two story apartment building that my aunt and dad owned back on the southside of Chicago on Loomis street....

It was a nice apartment. I guess just right for a young family with two young children. My mom and dad loved taking pictures and one of the pictures that I want to talk about is a CHRISTMAS picture that has always stuck in my mind.

I was all dressed up in a long flowy dress with my hair pulled up in a pony tail. My mother loved having my hair always combed and pretty. Hey, maybe that is the reason why I don't brush my hair anymore....... Okay, back to my story.....

This picture was taken in front of a Christmas tree that my brother and I, I am sure, truly thought was beautiful......... Well, at least that is how I believe my eyes saw it back then. This tree was not really a tree it was a BIG tree branch without any leaves that my parents cut from who knows where......... I am not sure if my parents did not have alot of money back then but to a child that did not matter........ I did not know the difference and I can tell by the smile on my face in the picture.........

I just wanted to share this memory with you because it's something that I always remember during the holidays. When you are a child the things that matter so much now don't matter then and as a child we are much more freer to believe and imagine.......................

I really did not want to go to Chicago this Christmas. I wanted to spend it here in my with my little family, but my husband convinced me and said that Christmas with our parents are running out......... Sorry, don't want to be to gloomy, but they are getting older, as we all are, and I don't want to have any regrets that because of my pride I did not get to spend this special time with them..............

So before I leave this weekend just wanted to WISH YOU ALL a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS and many blessings to you and yours and that the new year 2006 bring you everything that YOU have dreamed of..................

Mary I have to thank you for a wonderful time I had out at OLD ST. CHARLES tonight. I always enjoy meeting with you to have a nice girlfriend night out. The roast and potatoes were great and the COOKIES to die for. I swear I already ate four of them and my belly is kind of hurting a little from all the chocolate I had tonight.......

You are a great friend and I thank you for always thinking of me every year and getting together with me to do our ritual walk up and down those beautifuly decorated streets.............

I swear that we always pick good nights to go out there and have fun.........

I think what I enjoy most of all though is your company.................. Your a good friend and I will go with you to St. Charles any time even when we are old and gray like those cute little old ladies we saw with their walkers and their CHEERFUL Santa hats...........

OKAY, OKAY I am totally EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yesterday, as I was browsing through my daily BLOG list, I ran into DENISE's BEAUTIFUL CHRISTMAS CARDS. WOW!!!!!! they are great and simple, but very artsy and I love them.

I was not going to make Christmas cards this year. NOT in the mood I guess. That is not my usual because I love Christmas and somewhere in my little space I have tons of paper and stamps that I could easily whip out at least simple cards to send this season. Don't know I was not inspired at all this year, but then all of a sudden BAM after seeing Denises something hit me. I sat on my floor and just began to make them one after another after another.............. I love them. They came out just right................

THANKS Denise for the inpiration. I will post them later today so check back if you would like. Maybe, I can inspire YOU a little......................

New Scrapbook Convention coming to ST. Louis

I read in a magazine that there will be a CK scrapbook convention coming to our town in April...............

I don't scrapbook, but I love the paper and embelishments that I incorporate into my cards or other stuff I make.

Can't wait.............................

I am FINISHED

I am finished with MY project piece I will be sending in to STampingtON for their call for art for the HOME........

Wish me luck. I actually have something else in mind and hopefully will start working on it soon so that I can mail that as well.

I am really excited about it. I usually do not send any of my stuff out to magazines, but I thought what the HECK right??????? My usual is to make something and if I really like it I keep it. I become attached...........

You will also notice that I keep changing my blog name. Actually, I think BE TRUE BE U is the one I will keep. Why? because lately, around me, it seems that I have been running into that phrase dealing with people.

so BE TRUE BE U is always the best way to go I think.................

JOB or JOBLESS???????

Okay, so since this is my blog/journal and I really need to get this out on paper or at least here I will share my decision well really it's not a decision I would like to make, but it's something that I need to do.

It's time for me to go back to work. It's been 4 years since I left my job at the Farm, State Farm that is, and the plan was for me to be off just for one year and as you all know time flies when you are having fun right...... well, the one year turned into four.

This is the big reason why I have been a little down in the dumps lately and have not really been in the mood of anything because this decision has been on my mind for a while. I knew this was coming because of little hints from my hubby here and there. Don't get me wrong I do want to go back to work, but the worry is my kids.

My four year old is so attached and I to him.......... I don't know if I can do it really, but I have come to the decision that starting Jan. I will start looking. I am going this Friday to check out day cares and maybe I will bring him along to pep him up a little about it....... Wow I feel a little bit better and maybe on Friday when I go check out the daycares by my house I will feel better about the decision.......

So wish me luck and hopefully this will work out for all of us here at the T household.

WOW weeeeee

Thanksgiving came and went and I swear that I gained 10 pounds........ I had to taste test all the desserts that were brought over to my mom's house so yes it's my fault nobody else's.

I know that I am behind on my postings, but I really have not been in a blogging mood. Actually, I was busy making Christmas ATC ornaments for the ladies that wanted to trade. The ones I have already received are hanging on my CHRISTMAS tree for all to see. Well, nobody really comes over so it's just me admiring them when I pass by. Did you all know that there is a call for art in the LEGACY magazine. I think it said that they are looking for anything to do with home accessories like pillows, candles, candle holders, wall hanging thingies etc........ They will be publishing a new book like the TRANSPARENCY book I guess...... All artwork due by FEB 16, 06.

I went to the Saturday Monday sale yesterday and I really would love to be rich to have been able to buy something from everyone....... Everyone's art was BEAUTIFUL. I have been trying to be good so I did not purchase what I really wanted to so I bought a few little things to make me happy.... I know something from everybodys booth would make me very happy but realistically I had to be good. YUK.......... I wanted to be bad......

Okay, I promise that soon I will post something. I have been making a few things and I am now thinking of my Valentine atc maybe I will post it so don't laugh. I think my atc fairy muse was not visiting, but I will post it so that you can get a good laugh...........
